How to Find the Correct Replacement Equalizer for a 1999 Bonanza 3-Horse Trailer

Question:

I have a 1999 Bonanza 3-horse slant load bumper pull trailer and i broke one of the load/spring equalizers and need to replace it. I wasnt for sure which one to use. I was thinking it best to just get the kit and replace on both sides. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If your trailer suspension seems to be in good shape, other than the broken equalizer, then you do not have to replace both sides if you do not want to. The best way to find the correct replacement equalizer is to measure the shackle bolt holes and make sure you choose the correct style equalizer (double-eye vs. slipper).

For example, the TruRyde Curved Equalizer, # TREQ356 (pictured), measures 6-1/8 inches long from bolt hole to bolt hole on center and it is 2-1/2 inches tall from bolt hole to bolt hole on center. This equalizer is for double-eye leaf springs.

If you can tell me the dimensions of your equalizer and whether it is a double-eye or slipper spring equalizer, I would be happy to make a more specific recommendation for you. I have also attached a link to all of our equalizers for you to check out. I will also recommend the correct equalizer kit if one is available.
