Replacement Head for Reese Trunnion Style Weight Distribution System  

Question:

I have a 7300 pound empty weight Argosy RV. I use a 1989 GMC 2500 pickup to pull it. We recently lost the pickups hitch connection that contained the ball and sway bar connector s. One of the sway bars has REESE 22210E stamped on it so I hope that helps. I need to purchase a replacement hitch for my truck. Can you help?

I spoke with my contact at Reese and he confirmed that the replacement head for your Reese weight distribution system is part # RP58167. If you need a replacement shank you will want part # RP54970. This shank has a 2" drop to 6-1/2" rise and a 1,500 lbs. tongue weight.

I have attached the installation details for the replacement head for you to check out.

If you need a hitch ball with a 2-5/16" diameter I recommend part # 63836. This ball has a gross trailer weight of 14,000 lbs. If you need a hitch ball with a 2" diameter and 12,000 lbs gross trailer weight I recommend part # 40038.
