Hitch and Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT
Question:
I have a 2013 ElantraGT which has a spoiler at the top of the hatchback. Can I still attach the saddlebag using the clips? The GT has a prominent ledge at the bottom of the tailgate that would take some of the weight is the bag. Also, can an extra set of clips be used on the sides of the tailgate to secure the bag even more? Im trying to avoid a rooftop solution since Im in my seventies and reaching up is a problem. Any suggestions?

I have a better solution for you that I can guarantee will work and would not interfere with your spoiler or any other part of your vehicle. A hitch mounted cargo carrier would work well to carry your cargo and would not interfere with your spoiler plus wouldn't require you to reach up to access the cargo.
First you would need a hitch, for that I would recommend the Draw Tite Hitch part # 24905. Then for a cargo carrier you would want the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145. Then if you wanted a weather proof cargo bag to secure your cargo I would recommend the the etrailer Cargo Bag part # e98990.
