Is it Possible to Install Surge Actuator and Electric over Hydraulic Actuator Installed on Trailer
Question:
Is it possible to lock out the surge coupler and install an EOH system before or after the surge hydraulics? Ive read/heard of some failures of EOH systems. Id like to use my existing surge system as a fail safe in case the EOH fails. Is it possible?

That we are aware of no, there isn't a way to have a surge actuator connected to your brake lines plus an electric over hydraulic actuator. The best option I could recommend would be to get a reliable electric over hydraulic actuator, install it correctly and you should be fine.
The actuator we have found to be the most reliable that we offer is the Carlisle HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16.
