Will a Hitch Lock for 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitches Fit a 2 Inch Trailer Hitch
Question:
Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2

Expert Reply:
The Master Lock hitch lock # 1469DAT is designed with a longer pin that what is typically needed for a Class III, 2 inch trailer hitch since it was designed for wider 2-1/2 inch hitches. However, both 2 inch and 2-1/2 inch hitches have a 5/8 inch pin hole diameter so the lock will fit. The inside span is 3-1/4 inches and may appear very long in a 2 inch hitch.
For the same lock designed for 2 inch trailer hitches use # 1480DAT. Its inside span is 2-3/4 inches. I have included links to video reviews for both locks for you.
