Question:

I have a 2011 Jetta, I bought this rack for this car, at what length do i set the cross bars at? There are numbers at both sides. Thanks

I spoke to my contact at SportRack and she informed me that both the front and rear bars should be set at 19. That number will read on both sides of the bar.

The front bar will sit 7 inches back from the front corner of the windshield and the cross bar spread will be 26 inches.

I attached an install video for you to check out also.

I’m doing everything you do in the video and they are slipping off when I tighten them I have a 2013 jetta and the slightest tightening send them slipping off my car.

I'm not exactly sure what would be causing the feet to slip like that. I would make certain that you're placing them in the right location on the roof (using the measurements listed in the manual - if it's just a little bit off the roof profile can prevent a secure attachment). Please let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

@ChrisR Exact same issue, racks were secure before, now i dont trust them. Can knock them off with a swift blow, cheap materials in the attachment seemed deformed
