Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2008 Mazda CX-9 With a Bare Roof

I am looking for a roof rack that I can install on my 2008 Mazda CX-9. My car does not have any factory installed rails or anything.

We have several roof rack options that will fit the bare roof of your 2008 Mazda CX-9. I have attached a link to all of the roof racks that will fit for you to check out.

Out of the available options, I recommend looking into the Thule WingBar Evoroof rack. The WingBars are aerodynamic and dramatically reduce wind noise and drag so they're quiet and better on gas mileage. To order this roof rack you would want the bars, # TH711400, the Podium Foot Pack, # TH460R, and the CX-9 Fit Kit, # THKIT3069. The bars are also available in black # TH711420.

Once this roof rack is installed on your roof, it will have a crossbar spread of 42 inches. This is an important number to keep in mind when choosing roof mounted accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier.
