Will Curt 2-1/2 Inch Ball Mount Fit a Factory 2-1/2 Inch Trailer Hitch on a 2010 Ford F-450
Question:
I have a 2010 Ford F450 Super Duty P/U truck with the standard oem 2.5inch receiver. Can I use the Curt pn45456 ball mount with my trucks receiverf? I have been told that the Reese Titan equivalent will not work with my trucks receiver.

Expert Reply:
The issue with the Ford factory 2-1/2 inch receiver is that the radius of the rounded corners is different than the radius of the rounded corners on the Titan shank you mentioned and possibly other ball mounts. We have not had any complaints about fit with the Curt ball mount # C45456. So on the off chance that there was a slight issue you could sand off some of the powdercoating on the ball mount shank, not any of the metal, and that will help it fit.
