We have several fifth wheel hitch options for your 2014 Ram 2500 with the factory fifth wheel package. If you have a long bed truck, then I recommend looking at the B&W Companion OEM Fifth Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package, # BWRVK3600. This hitch will fit directly into the existing pucks in your truck bed without requiring any additional parts.

If you have a short bed, then I recommend using the Reese Fifth Wheel Rail Adapter, # RP30154, with a sliding fifth wheel hitch. The rail adapter will fit into the existing holes in your truck bed and provides a mounting point for fifth wheel hitches that use the industry standard above bed rails. For short bed trucks, we recommend using sliding fifth wheel hitches to gain better turning clearance between the trailer overhang and your truck cab.

To determine if a sliding fifth wheel hitch will give you enough turning clearance to safely make a 90 degree turn, you can measure from the center of the fifth wheel package holes in your truck bed to your cab (see photo). Then you want to add 11 inches. If that number is 4 inches greater than half of the width of your trailer, then a sliding hitch will work.

If the measurement on your truck (plus 11 inches) is not at least 4 inches more than half of the width of your trailer, then I recommend using a fixed hitch like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 and using a Sidewinder pin box in place of the OEM pin box on your fifth wheel trailer. Keep in mind, this is only if you want full clearance between your truck cab and trailer during sharp turns. If you are interested in this option, send me the manufacturer and model number of your OEM pin box and I can recommend a Sidewinder that will work for you. This information is usually located on the pin box, or your trailer manufacturer can tell you with your VIN.

I have attached a help article on Sidewinders for you to check out if you are not familiar with them.
