Anti-Sway And Steering Stabilizer Recommendations On 1999 Fourwinds Motorhome With F-53 Frame
Question:
Hello, I have a 1998 Fourwinds with a V10 F53 frame. What are the differences/benefits of the axle or steering stabilizer. If I put the Roadmaster axle stabilizer on it can I install the steering stabilizer later if I decided to upgrade? Can they both be installed together. Thanks.

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster and they told me that there would be no problem using an anti-sway stabilizer in tandem with a steering stabilizer. They told me that normally to notice the biggest difference in the handling of your 1999 Fourwinds with the Ford F-53 frame, rear anti-sway is recommended. They also said that using all of these items together will help overall performance.
I recommend the Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bars, part # RM-1139-143. This attaches to the rear of the motorhome and will balance the weight transfer and reduce body roll.
If you decide you want to add anti-sway to the front of your motorhome, I recommend part # RM-1139-148.
The steering stabilizer that would work for you would be the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer, part # RM-RBK22-RSSA. This unit will help correct oversteering and help prevent wandering while driving.
