Which Tire and Wheel Combos are Recommended for Trailer Hub # AKIHUB-440-2-1K
Question:
what size tire and wheel for this hub
asked by: Justino
Expert Reply:
Trailer hub assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K is good for 8 to 12 inch wheels with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern. The hub is designed for 2,000 pound axles so to match that capacity and if you want a wide tire you can use a 205/65-10, load range C, # AM3H370. This tire and wheel combo will be 8.3 inches wide and 20-1/2 inches tall.
If you wanted to go with a 12 inch tire you can use tire and wheel combo # AM30780. It will be 5.6 inches wide and 21.9 inches tall.
And if you want to go with a 13 inch, use # AM3S030. It will be 6.6 inches wide and 24 inches tall.
Each of the tires in these tire and wheel combos is rated slightly higher than 1,000 pounds each so they would work out well on a 2,000 pound axle. I have linked video reviews of each for you.
