Is Thule K-Summit Tire Chain 21MM Lug Adapter Needed on All Self-Tensioning Chains
Question:
DO YOU NEED TO USE AN ADAPTOR TH1500052581 WHEN FITTING THE SELF TENSIONING CHAIN KIT
asked by: YVONNE
Expert Reply:
The adapter, part # TH1500052581, is for specifically for the K-Summit chains and wheels that use 21MM lug nuts like those used on the Prius. If you are ordering the K-Summit chains, part # TH02230K22, you will need the 21MM lug adapter.
If you are ordering the CS10 self tensioning chains, part # TH01221070 or part # TH01221080, then no adapter is required regardless of lug size.
