Trailer Wiring was Cut Now Turn Signals on Tow Vehicle and Trailer Will Not Work

Question:

Someone cut the wiring on my boat trailer about a foot up from the male end. I still have enough to remake the connection. I have carefully placed the white on white, brown/green on brown/green, yellow/green on yellow/green and securely reconnected them. Now when the vehicles lights are turned on the trailer works fine. When you try and use the turn signal nothing happens, not even in the vehicle. Could you please give me a clue where to look for a solution? Many thanks.

It sounds to me like you have a blown fuse since the turn signals do not work on the trailer or on the tow vehicle. I recommend checking the turn signal fuse in your tow vehicle to see if it is blown.
