Roof Mounted Cargo Bag and Accessories for a 2010 Toyota Camry with a Sun Roof

Question:

I am looking for a cargo bag to use on a 2010 Toyota Camry with a sunroof and no rack. It will only be used about twice per year for a 400 mile trip during the summer. Is this a good option? Do you recommend using the clips for the doors or just strapping it through the car for infrequent use? Do you recommend the pad for use under it?

For a cargo bag for your 2010 Toyota Camry you will want to place it so that no part of the bag is resting on the sun roof. Measure how much space there is from the rear edge of the sun roof to the back of the vehicle roof (or nearest obstruction such as an antenna). If you have 48 inches or more then Rightline bag # RL100S30 is a great option.

But if you require a shorter bag then # RL100S50 is the shortest option at 36 inches long.

For either bag I do recommend the clips, # RL100600. Sometimes customers have experienced water leaking in when the straps are routed through the inside of the vehicle.

The protective pad, # RL100650, is also recommended to not only protect the vehicle roof but also to keep the bag from moving.

Another helpful item is the wheel step # HE4040 which makes loading and unloading the bag easier. Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual and/or Toyota for the roof capacity prior to loading.
