Can a 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Installed on a 2014 Ram Mega Cab
Question:
We purchased a 2007 Cherokee 5th wheel and recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Mega Cab with 64inch box. The RV dealer says there is no option for a slider hitch for our truck at this time so we are unable to pull our camper. Any suggestions?

You said that your 2014 Ram has a 64 inch bed. Sometimes our system kicks out certain key characters so if you meant 6 foot bed (or 6 foot, 4 inch bed) I will cover that as well.
First I need to know if the truck is a 1500, 2500, or 3500 and if it has a gas, diesel, or EcoDiesel motor.
If it has Ram Boxes and/or the air suspension package there are no 5th wheel kits that will fit.
If it has the 5-1/2 foot bed there are isntallation kits that will fit, and hitches, but you have to use a fixed hitch, not a slider, and then use a Sidewinder pin box on the trailer. That is the only way to make tight turns.
A Slider will not work on a 5-1/2 foot bed because there is just not enough room in the bed for the slider when coupled to the trailer.
For the 6 foot bed there are options for sliders but it depends on the series your truck is and how it is equipped. With just a little more information I can give you a definitive answer. I have included a link to our Sidewinder main page for you as well. If you do have the 5-1/2 foot bed and need a Sidewinder I would have to know the manufacturer and model number of the pin box (on a sticker or plate on the pin box) to determine if a there is a Sidewinder that will fit.
