Wiring Adapter for Curt Brake Controller Installation in 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4 X 4

Question:

i recently purchased a curt venturer trailer brake controller 1-3 axles from you and had it installed in a 1994 dodge dakota . now i would like to be able to install it in a 2006 dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 so i had called the other day to find what adapter harness i would need and was told that the 3020P would work but upon looking at the plug on my truck blue and the controlers plug and the 3020p does not look like it will work can you verify that it will or do you have another adapter. thank you

If your 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 has a factory 7-way socket on the bumper then the correct brake controller adapter harness for your Curt controller is part # C51332. If this is how your truck is equipped then the connection port will be located under the steering wheel, just to the right of the emergency brake pedal.

If your truck does not have the factory 7-way and the under-dash port for a brake controller then you can do a hard-wire type installation using part # ETBC7. This install kit includes everything you'll need to complete installation. For reference I have linked an article on brake controller installation in Dodge trucks.
