Can Curt Slider 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Installed at the Highest Height Setting

Question:

Can I raise the height of the hitch to the max height allowed by the adjustment holes while still using only the 2 bolts on each side that were provided which connect the vertical support plates to the the cradle assembly?

There are no restrictions on the height that you can set the 5th wheel hitch head to using the Curt 5th wheel slider # 16516. The instructions show the hitch (2 different versions) being installed at the second highest and highest setting, respectively. I have linked the instructions for you. We also have installed this hitch in the same way you have described.

On a slider you just cannot use the lowest setting.

You should also be able to adjust the height of the 5th wheel trailer pin box up or down as needed.
