Cana Reese Shank be Used in Place of Convert-A-Ball Shank # AMAC1
Question:
shopping adj. height comb. pintle and ball hitches. Like Convert-a-ballinch PH-4 and wondered IF the system is compatible with 2inch hitch shanks which are NOT cushioning. I desire more rise/ than the cushion shank offers and would like to marry the PH-4 to a Reese or other shank to achieve end. Oops, I think I MAYVE answered my own question The other riser shank accept a 5/8 In. pin/bolt in the adjustment holes. The Converta-ball cushion shank requires 3/4 In. pins/bolts. Am I CORRECT or no? TY!W

Expert Reply:
Reese shanks do use a 3/4 inch hole to attach a head or in this case a pintle/ball mount. As long as the hole spacing on your PH-4 is 1-1/4 inches apart on center you could use a Reese shank in place of the Convert-A-Ball shank # AMAC1.
