The excellent Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is a popular choice for its reliability, ease of use and its many included features.
Your vehicle does not have the quick-connect port under the dash that allows for fast no-splicing installation. To install this unit in your 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan with factory tow package and 7-Way connector you will need a brake controller install kit to enable a hard-wired installation, part # ETBC7.
This is a complete kit that includes everything needed; since you already have a 7-way you can keep the one from the kit as a spare since connectors can corrode over time.
I have linked a video showing the ETBC7 being installed in a 2010 Grand Caravan. I've also included an article that covers this process step by step.
