Best Trailer Hitch and Hitch Bike Rack for 2011 Kia Soul
Question:
I have a 2011 Kia soul and I want to get a bike rack. I would like to get a hitch bike rack, but after looking through your site. It became a bit overwhelming on all the merchandise. So, this is what I need, my car is completely stock so I will need a complete package to get a hitch bike rack installed on my car.

We offer several brands of trailer hitch for your 2011 Kia Soul. The link provided will let you see all of them, and each shares the same 200-lb tongue weight capacity common to all light-duty Class I hitches.
I suggest the Draw-Tite # 24839 hitch as it is the most popular among Soul owners and it also happens to be the most cost-effective option. This hitch comes complete with all required installation hardware and mounts without need for drilling or welding. I have linked a video showing this hitch being installed on a 2011 Kia Soul.
Class I hitches have a limitation as to how many bikes they can safely carry. The limit for a Class I hitch is 2 bicycles. This holds even if your bike rack can hold more than two bikes.
You can use the link provided to see all compatible hanging-style 2-bike Class I bike racks that will fit this 1-1/4-inch hitch. You have many options to choose from, including fixed, folding and tilting racks. The best choice for you may depend on the nature of your bikes; for example a beach cruiser bike with its very wide handlebars may benefit from a rack that provides extra clearance at the back of the Soul.
To help you consider your best choice I have linked two articles concerning hitch bike racks, one of which shows how to take a simple measurement to ensure your choice of rack will fit properly on the Soul and work well with your particular bikes.
As an example, the Thule EasyFold # TH903202 offers high weight capacity, includes locks both for the rack itself and your bikes, tilts for easy vehicle access and carries a limited lifetime warranty from Thule. For your reference I have linked a video on this rack.
