Will Curt Front Mount Hitch Part # 31055 Fit the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SS Without Trimming
Question:
Do you know if this item will fit on a TrailBlazer SS? The SS is lowered 2 from the factory....... If yes, How much of the front bumper will have to be cut to fit??? Can you give me an idea where it needs to be cut away? Thank You, Happy New Year

I spoke with my contact at Curt, and they have not had a chance to test fit the front mount hitch on an SS model. Frame should be the same between the SS and other models, but the SS front fascia is much different so it may require some fascia trimming, but they do not know where since they have not had a chance to fit one yet.
The radiator may also be different or larger since the SS model got the 6.0 LS2 V8, a larger, higher output V8 than what came in the other V8 Trailblazer models.
We have not gotten a chance to test fit a Trailblazer SS either, but when we do, we will put a video on the site about front mount hitch installation.
