Recommendation for Trailer Light and Brake Controller Wiring for 2000 Land Rover Range Rover
Question:
I have a 2000 Land Rover Range Rover. I want to hook up trailer lights and trailer brakes so I can tow a travel trailer. Do you have any kits to accomplish this?

We do not have a custom trailer wiring harness available for your 2000 Land Rover Range Rover but I may have a solution for you. If you feel comfortable circut testing the wires on your Range Rover's taillight wiring, we do offer a Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Wiring Harness, # 119250KIT, that could be used.
I spoke with my contact at one of our manufacturers and he said that the vast majority of Range Rovers came from the factory equipped with a hitch and trailer wiring. Therefore, there really wasn't a demand for a hitch or trailer wiring as an aftermarket product. If you would prefer a custom wiring harness, I recommend contacting your dealer to see if they have one available for you.
In addition to a taillight wiring harness, you will also need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller, # ETBC7. This will add the wiring needed to operate a brake controller.
If you are still in the market for a brake controller, my personal recommendation would be for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, # 90195. This brake controller automatically levels when mounted within a 360 degree vertical range. With 5 storable settings, changing the controller between trailers, drivers, or different loads is a breeze.
I have attached a couple videos that you may want to take a look at.
