Can the 24x60 Railed Cargo Carrier be Used on a 1999 Ford Explorer With a 2 Inch Hutch

Can I use this on a 99 Ford Explorer - 2WD ??? Everyone says we shouldnt travel cross country with ANYTHING attached to the back of this car due to roll over incidents??

Yes, you can use the 24x60 Railed Cargo Carrier for 2 inche Trailer Hitches, item # 63153, on your Explorer, as long as your vehicle has a 2 inch receiver hitch installed. I have not heard of any problems using a cargo carrier and rollover accidents with this or any other vehicle.

You may want to get the Light Kit for Draw-Tite, Tow Ready, and Rola Railed Cargo Carriers, item # 20174, along with the cargo carrier to provide tail lights in case the items on the carrier obscure the lights on the vehicle. If traveling across country some states and municipalities require lights on hitch mounted cargo carriers.
