Right Turn Signal and Brake Light not Working on T-One Wiring Harness for 2008 Kia Sedona

I have a 2008 Kia Sedona. I purchased a vehicle wire harness from etrailer a couple of years ago. It went on great and worked flawlessly. I do not recall if it was the T-one or the Curt wire harness. Just recently, I am experiencing issues with it. The plug had drug on the ground and wore through two of the wires just before the flat four plug. I was able to cut out the section of bad wire and reconnect a flat four plug. I have my clearance lights and left turn signal and left break light, I do not have my right turn signal or break light. I can not figure out what could be wrong. I checked my fuses and they are fine. Is it possible that something in the small module that came with the setup was damaged when the wires frayed? Wondering if I am going to need to replace the whole system? Any thoughts? Thanks

My records show that you purchased the T-One Wiring Harness, # 118410, for your 2008 Kia Sedona. It is possible that the converter box shorted out on the wiring harness when the wires frayed.

To see if everything is still functioning properly, I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to check the functioning of the 4-way on the vehicle. I would start by testing the wires going into the converter box. The white wire is going to be your ground on this harness. The yellow wire is for the left turn signal, the green wire is for the right turn signal, the smaller gauge red wire is for the brake light, the brown wire is for the taillights, and the heavier gauge red wire is your 12-volt power. If any of these wires aren't functioning as they should, I would check the connection to the vehicle's wiring to make sure that nothing has come loose. If all wires are functioning, I would move on to testing the wires coming out of the converter box.

To test the wires coming out of the converter box, once again, yellow for left signal, green for right signal, brown for taillights, but this time the yellow and green wire also carry the brake signal. If any of these do not function as they should, it is most likely the converter, and you will need to replace the wiring harness. If everything works as it should, you may have a problem with the 4-way connector that was replaced. In this case, you could continue by testing each pin to see if this is where the failure exists.
