Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier for a 2013 Toyota Prius

Question:

I drive a 2013 Prius with no sunroof, solar panels or anything else. It is a naked roof. I want to know if this fits as is or needs additional parts purchased? Also, I was needing it to haul a cargo carrier on vacation. I wanted to be sure these were the correct racks for this. Thank you.

The SportRack semi-custom roof rack # SR1002 will fit your 2013 Toyota Prius (not V models) with a naked roof. It can be used to carry a kayak. The rack does not require any other parts to install.

For a kayak carrier you can use # SR5511. This is a J-style carrier with a weight capacity of 75 pounds and length capacity of 17 feet. It also includes tie downs to secure the bow and stern of he kayak.

Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual or Toyota for the roof capacity prior to loading anything on the roof.
