Recommended Hitch and Towing Accessories for 2010 Toyota Prius
Question:
I want to install a hitch to tow light weight trailer and use it for bike rack. But I have know idea what part numbers for my purpose. Could u please help me to find the correct parts?

I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class I hitch, part # 24847. The hitch does not include a ball mount. And you will need the appropriate trailer ball, # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball. You'll also need a trailer wiring harness, # 118505.
The hitch has a 2000 lb towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity, but that capacity might be limited by the capacity of the vehicle if it is lower. I examined an online copy of the owners manual, and was unable to find a towing capacity mentioned, you might check your owner's manual or with Toyota for that information.
