How Tall is Pro Series Cargo Carrier 63153 From the Bottom of the Shank to Top of Rails

Question:

What is the total height from the bottom of the shank to the top of carrier. With 2 1/2inch rise and 5 1/2inch rail would it be 8?

From the top of the receiver opening on a trailer hitch to the top of the rails on cargo carrier # 63153 it would be approximately 8-1/4 inches. The 2-1/2 inch rise plus the 5-1/2 inch tall rails equal 8 inches but then there is the thickness of the metal on the cargo carrier shank where it fits into the the basket portion. If measuring from the bottom of the carrier shank you would add another 2 inches for the height of the shank. So that would be approximately 10-1/4 inches from the bottom of the shank at the lowest point to the top of the rails.

You can also fit this carrier with a light kit # 20174 if the carrier and/or cargo block the vehicle lights.
