How to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe

I need instructions for making wiring connections for a Primus IQ brake control in my 2007Tahoe. Thanks

Expert Reply:
I will be happy to help you. On your 2007 Chevy Tahoe, under the dash, to the left of the steering column, and held together with a white tag there is a wire bundle you will need to install the brake controller.
Pull the wires down and make the following connections:
Tow package white wire to brake controller white wire (ground)
Tow package red/black wire to brake controller black wire (12 volt power in)
Tow package light blue/white wire to brake controller red wire (input from brake switch)
Tow package dark blue wire to brake controller blue wire (output to trailer brakes)
If there is an orange wire it will not be used.
There may also be some connections that you will need to make under the hood to make everything fully functional. I have included a link to a help article that explains all of the above information and the under hood connections for you.
