Roof Rack and Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2008 Nissan Altima and Beach Cruisers
Question:
I have an 08 nissan altima. Will this item work? Also my bikes are beach cruisers. Trying to find something that will go on top of my car dependable and without scratches.

In order to use a roof mounted bike rack like # TH598004 you will first need to have a roof rack on your 2008 Nissan Altima. The most economical option is Rhino-Rack roof rack with aero style crossbars. You will need the following parts:
Crossbars # RRVA118B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
Custom DK Clamps and Pads # DK168
With this roof rack installed you can then mount the bike rack on your 2008 Altima sedan.
When installed properly neither the roof rack nor the bike rack should be able to scratch the car roof. Since the rack holds the bikes at the frame it will handle the beach cruisers provided they do not exceed the 44 pounds per bike capacity of the rack.
You also need to check the vehicle owners manual and/or Nissan to determine the capacity of the roof prior to loading anything on it.
