Trailer Brake Controller Does Not Work After Installation on 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 New Body Style

i have a 2007 gmc sierra 1500 and i hook it up the way it says and it dont work

Your 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 New body style should have the wire bundle under the dash for the brake controller. Let's make sure you have the wires connected in the right spot.
Brake controller white wire goes to tow package white wire (ground)
Controller black wire goes to tow package red wire (12 volt power in)
Controller blue wire goes to tow package dark blue (out to trailer brakes)
Controller red wire goes to tow package light blue or orange (input from brake switch)
There also may be some connections that you will need to make under the hood to make everything fully functional. This is common on Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs.
