How To Install a Brake Controller in a 2008 GMC Yukon XL
Question:
I have a 2008 yukon denali xl and am trying to install a tekonsha voyager 9030. On the voyager there is a blue, black, red and white. On the yukon there is dark blue, light blue, red and white. I know both whites are ground but which of the other wires connect together?

Expert Reply:
The dark blue of your 2008 GMC Yukon wiring will go to the blue wire of the Tekonsha Voyager part # 39510, the light blue will go the red wire of the Voyager, white for white like you said, and the red wire of your Yukon will go to the black wire of the controller.
There may be a couple underhood connections you will need to make. For that you will need to check out the FAQ article I attached.
