Mounting Bracket Concerns For Ride-Rite System On 2012 Ford F-150 With B And W Fifth Wheel
Question:
Does the bracket sandwich the BandW hitch to the frame? Is there still enough room for chains on the wheels? If I understand right the only difference between the 2525 and the 2542 is the mounting brackets? I have and F150 4X4, 2012 What is you best price for the 2542? Thanking you in advance

Expert Reply:
The mounting brackets on the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, part # F2542 are designed so that it will allow a B and W fifth wheel hitch or a fifth wheel hitch with the # RP30035 universal brackets to be installed. According to Firestone the brackets for part # F2525 will interfere with a fifth wheel installation.
To make it easier to adjust and monitor the air system from the comfort of your truck cab i recommend installing a compressor like part # F2178. This system will allow you to inflate or deflate the air springs individually with the touch of a button. The dual gauges are mounted under the dashboard.
I am sending the installation instructions for the Ride-Rite Air helper Springs to you in a separate email. You can see how the installation is using the inside of the truck frame so I don't think there would be any interference with chains on your tires.
