Will 30 Watt Putco Optic 360 High-Power Fog Lamp Bulbs # P250011W Get too Hot for 2008 Mercedes CLK

Question:

Hello, Can you please tell me what the wattage is on the OEM bulb that is installed on the car? This product is 30 watts. What I dont want to happen is the bulb is too hot and melts the fog lamp component. Thank you.

According to the owner's manual for the 2008 Mercedes CLK, the original fog lamp bulbs were 55 watt halogen bulbs. The Putco Optic 360 High-Power Fog Lamp Bulbs, # P250011W, are 30 watt LED bulbs. LED bulbs produce very little heat and significantly less heat than the halogen that was originally installed so you should have no problems with this bulb being too hot for the fog lamp component.
