Replacement 6-Way Round Trailer Side Connector for 1978 Reddale Camper
Question:
Replacing old 6 round pin style but not sure of extra wires. Green does tail and marker lights. Brown-right blinker. Red-left blinker. White-ground. Black- has power. Yellow i dont know. Blue-i am assuming is electric brakes but was connected to center pin on old one. And the yellow, black, and green broke off flush. Its off a 78 reddale camper. Oh yeah thats also 7 wires into a 6 and it looked like 2 of wires were together.

If I had to guess I would say the 2 wires together are for the running lights, one for each side of the trailer. The brake lights must be on the same circuits as the turn signals which is common for trailers. It sounds like you know what the basic lighting functions are for the wires that you have. You can always double check using a circuit tester such as # PTW2992 or power each wire and see what activates using a separate 12 volt battery.
If you just want a 6-Way round that you can attach the wires to yourself (so it is pinned to match the vehicle side connector) you can use # PK11604. For a 6-Way round with wires you can use # H20036 but keep in mind the wire colors are different than what you have. The wire and color functions are listed below.
White Wire = Ground
Brown Wire = Tail Lights
Green Wire = Right Turn and Brake
Yellow Wire = Left Turn and Brake
Red Wire = Brake Power
Black Wire = Aux
