Will Installing Trailer Hitch # C13105 on 2011 Toyota Sienna Void the Vehicle Warranty

I looked at part #C13105 for my Toyota Sienna 2011. Im just concerned about this voiding my cars warranty. My Sienna is the 4 cylinders model. Have you received any customersfoot feedback about this taking place?

While the answer is straightforward from a legal standpoint, it’s important to educate our customers (and all
after-market consumers) on some industry realities and offer some common sense precautions to minimize your risk. Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act.

The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.

The bottom line is that while the law protects the consumer and provides for enforcement of the warranty, it is very difficult for most people to hire an attorney and fight a voided warranty.
