Parts Needed to Install Tekonsha TK90160 Primus Brake Controller in 2014 Toyota Tundra w/ Tow Pkg

Question:

I have a 2014 Toyota tundra. It already comes wired with the 7-way and 4-way. I am interested in buying a Tekonsha Primus TK90160 brake controller from you guys, but am not sure what part #s I need. Also on the controller, does it indicate when you have a trailer plugged in? Thank you

Since you already have the tow package, all you'd need is the brake controller # TK90160 and the wiring adapter, part # 3040-P. The Primus brake controller does indeed alert you when a trailer is connected, by displaying a decimal point and the letter C in the display.

The connector for the brake controller is located to the left of the emergency brake pedal, as shown in the provided photo.

I've also linked you to a video showing a similar controller being installed in a 2013 Tundra.
