Will the Thule Revolver Bike Rack Work with the Curt Class III Hitch On a 2006 Honda CR-V

Question:

Will my Revolver bike rack clear the rear spare tire on my Honda 2006 Crv? It looks like it would hit, the rear spare, in the pic. it looks like the hitch sits way in. under the back bumper. So before I purchased the hitch I wanted to find out, do not want to return, if Revolver doesnt work, also It swings toward the rear spare.

The only way to determine for sure if the Thule Revolver Swinging 4 Bike Rack, item # TH964, will work is to measure the distance from the center of your hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of your spare tire. The Revolver has a clearance of 7-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest back part of the bike rack. The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, item # 13535, sits just about even with the farthest back part of the rear fascia when installed on the CR-V. If you look at the video (see link), you will see that the hitch pin hole will end up quite a bit forward of the tow loop that is used for installation of the hitch, so I would think that 7-1/2 inches would be plenty of room for clearance, as long as you have the standard size spare tire mounted on the rear of the vehicle. The Revolver does not fold past the upright toward the rear tire.
