Does Tekonsha Voyager Brake Controller Have Power Switch

Question:

Good afternoon, I have a 36 ft Georgie Boy Cruise Master. It has a Tekonsha Voyager controller and a Husky plug that looks like a 5 pole flat.I dont know if it works. I am about to purchase a tow dolly with electric brakes. This may seem like a silly question but is there a power on button on the controller. The manual you have in your files doesnt show one. What is the best way to tell if my unit still works? Should the led always be on? thank you kindly,

There is no on-off switch on a brake controller, for fear that if someone forgot to turn it on they could have real issues when they attempt to stop. I have attached the installation instructions for the Tekonsha Voyager, part # 39510 you can check out. There is a troubleshooting chart that tells you how you can address any of the situations listed. There is also a section on fine tuning the controller to fit your braking needs. The LED light will remain on so that you know it has power to the controller.
