Hitch Recommendation for a Nissan Rogue Carrying a Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack

Question:

I have a few questions regarding selection of a trailer/tow hitch for my 2011 Nissan Rogue SV. 1. I see that you have two Draw Tite products that are of the Class III variety that would fit my vehicle. The first #75606 states that from the center of the hitch pin to the furthest part of the bumper is 4.5. The second #75902 does not give a specific measurement or have a video but does state that it is 2.25inch longer than the Curt with is noted to be 8.25 inches from the center of the hitch pin to the furthest part of the bumper. Is it safe to assume then that the distance is approx. 6inch with this second trailer hitch? 2. My primary use for this trailer hitch will be to use a bike rack specifically the Kuat Sherpa and I am concerned that with it folded up it would not fit. The Sherpa stats do say that folded it is 7.75inch from the center of the hitch pin to the platform as indicated on your website. Does this include the wheel well pieces that sit on top of the platform or only the metal base of the platform itself. Any recommendations and further information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I have included my contact information below. Thank you for your assistance.

You are correct in your assumption about the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75902 being about 6 inches from its hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on the bumper, the other Draw Tite hitch part # 75606 that you referenced would be a better option for you since that dimension with this hitch is 4-1/2 inches.

When folded up the Kuat Sherpa # SH12G will have 7-3/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest portion of the rack, which would be the wheel cradles. The # 75902 should work very well with your Sherpa folded up or down.
