Will Reese Gooseneck Plate 58079 Fit Adapter for 2014 Ram 2500 with OEM 5th Wheel Prep Package  

Question:

will the rails rp 30154 fit dodge factory setup and will the goose RP58079 work on these rails thanks for the help. would you suggest fixed or sliding fifth wheel for short beds.

The Reese gooseneck trailer hitch for above the bed 5th wheel rails, # RP58079, will not fit the adapter for Rams with OEM 5th wheel prep package # RP30154. The issue is that the adapter only has the outer most sets of slots for mounting a hitch. The Reese gooseneck hitch fits in the inner most set which are not present on the adapter. The Curt Spyder, # 16085, is the only one that would fit.

When using a 5th wheel hitch you will want to go with a slider since you have a short bed truck. Slider # RP30051 you have referenced will fit.
