Hi Jennifer,

From what I can find in the online owner's manual you should be able to flat tow your 2012 Honda Fit, but you'll have a list of steps to complete to get it ready to tow. As for the parts needed I have the following recommendations:

Baseplate: Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM9519236.

Tow Bar: etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR. This tow bar comes with safety cables included and has a built in rise/drop to help keep itself level between the motorhome and Fit.

Tow Bar Wiring: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will transfer your motorhome's light signals to the tail lights of the Fit.

Braking System: If your motorhome has hydraulic brakes then you'll want the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251. If it has air brakes then you'll need the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 instead. If your brake light overrides your turn signals while towing then you'll also want to install the brake lite relay kit # RM-88400.

You'll also need to pull the Accessory Radio Fuse #61 to prevent the battery from draining.
