Recommended Flat Towing Set Up for a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I am getting a Silverado 1500 ZR2 with the AEV front bumper and looking to flat tow it behind our motorhome. Do you have any recommendations on tow bar attachments? It looks like there is not a baseplate for the AEV bumper? Would an attachment to the tow hooks work?

Congrats on the new truck! I can help you with the rest of the parts you would need to flat tow your Silverado but I have no information on whether you can flat tow with an AEV front bumper or what you would even use. Their website doesn't even have the bumpers or any technical information listed for your truck. You'll need to contact them directly. I do agree nothing we have is going to be compatible with it and that's all I can confidently tell you.

Here are the rest of the parts you will need to flat tow a 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7420

Battery Disconnect - Roadmaster Battery Disconnect with Switch item # RM-766

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes and the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit item # RM-751495

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
