Bike Rack Recommendation for a BMW 530i and a Cannondale Slice 5 Tribike

I have a 2007 BMW 530i and want to carry a Cannondale Slice 5 tribike. Request recommendations on best options for either roof or trunk mount. Roof is naked. Main issue would be paint damage....

We have quite a few cycling enthusiasts here and when it comes to high end bikes, roof mount carriers are preferred. Roof mount carriers will have the least amount of contact with the bike frame and do not leave the bikes hanging like trunk mount bike racks.

For your Cannondale Slice 5 tri bike, I recommend looking at the RockyMounts TieRod or PitchFork bike racks. To use a roof mount bike rack, you will need a roof rack. A roof mount bike rack will also be a much better option over a trunk mount bike rack when it comes to paint damage. Trunk mount bike racks have direct contact with the paint and dirt and grime can build up between the bike rack arms and the vehicle which can cause scratches.
