What Type of Crossbar Does Thule Overcast Awning Attach To

Question:

We currently swap out a Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Carrier Xl when traveling the country with a Thule Cargo Basket when in town. Can this Thule awning be mounted while still using either the Thule basket or/and the Thule Motion Xt XL. Our concern is opening the Cargo carrier, with it blocking the locking system or not letting it open.

Hey Mike, it looks like you are using the OEM crossbars of your Subaru which the Thule Overcast Awning part # TH8002AW604 actually can't attach to. It needs a set of crossbars that have channels on top of them so you would need an aftermarket roof rack installed as well but I would need to know the year/make/model of your vehicle.
