Is There a 2" Coupler For 2" Channel Which Matches The Bolt Holes For 1-7/8" Coupler?
Question:
For the life of me I dont understand why there seem to be listed many, many 2 ball size tongues all to the same standard. I have a 1-7/8 ball size tongue. I am renting a truck that has a FIXED 2 ball. I want to put a new 2 ball size tongue on the trailer without redrilling holes. You would think someone would realize there is a market for a 2 ball size tongue that is an easy swap out for the standard size 1-7/8 tongue 3/8 mounting holes, 2-1/4 apart, 2 channel. There are lots of queries online for people looking for this. DO YOU HAVE THIS PRODUCT?

I believe the reason you are having a hard time finding a 2" Coupler # CT-3001-Z with the same mounting hole spread as the 1-7/8" Coupler # CT-2001-Z has to do with the amount of weight the couplers are rated for. The 2" is going to require a larger bolt hole spread to distribute the weight more across the trailers pole tongue. So while the 1-7/8" coupler has the bolt holes spread 2-1/4" on center the 2" coupler moves them out to 3-1/6" on center.
