Orientation of Replacement Shock Absorber for Dexter Model 60 Brake Actuators

Question:

Hi. I have a 2001 LoadRite trailer for my boat, which has a Titan coupler on it. I recently discovered that the shock absorber in the coupler was worn out, so I bought your part number T2336200 replacement shock. My question, please, is this : Is there a correct orientation for it, to properly push back and help release the brakes, once youve stopped? For instance, does it matter if the extending piston faces the front or the rear of the trailer? Thank you.

Hi Ed; the cylinder tube on the # T2336200 should be facing the front of the trailer and be the closest to the actual coupler. The piston rod will extend out toward the rear of the trailer.
