Stuck Exhaust Hanger Bolts Solution for a 2015 Ford Explorer
Question:
Hi Ryan, I had ordered a hitch from etrailer as a gift for my daughter for me to install on her 2015 Explorer. I cannot get the bolts that hold the exhaust hangers to budge a bit, even with an air impact wrench. Is this a common problem? Is there something that I am missing that has made this install impossible so far? Michael Machos

Mike, I wouldn't say it's common, but given the car's age It's totally in the realm of possibility. What I would do is try and spray some lubricating spray and let it set for about 5-10 minutes then try using your air impact again and see if that helps any.
If not, your best bet would be to take it to a shop and have them apply heat to remove the stuck bolts.
If you have any other questions feel free to let me know below and I'd be happy to help.
