Is Trailer Wiring Needed When Installing a Receiver On a 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid for Bike Rack?

Hi Ryan, if the trailer hitch is for a Honda CR-V hybrid and to be used for a bike rack 2 inch hitch requested does it need wiring? And typically what does installation cost? 2024 vehicle

While EcoHitch said their Receiver # 306-X7345 was not designed to fit the hybrid versions of your 2024 Honda CR-V, we have had many people install it and verify it fit without any issues. I always recommend installing 4-Way Wiring # 118741 with any receiver even if you only plan on using it with a bike rack. Many states say you have to run Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with any hitch mounted accessory. And depending on the size of your bikes and rack they may impair the view of your tail lights to other drivers on the road.

As far as installation for both of these I really can't give you an exact cost for labor. Just know the receiver is rated for a 2 hour install and the wiring for a 1 hour install. Not all shops may agree with these times so you will want to call around for quotes ahead of time.
