Recommended Wiring Kit for a 2010 Chevy Express to Use a Brake Controller In the Future
Question:
I recently bought a 2010 Chevy Express 3500 ls 6L V8 passenger van extended. I plan on purchasing the e-trailer class 4 trailer hitch. It doesnt have any other signs of a towing package. Im trying to figure out which wiring package to buy. I dont currently need a brake controller, but Id like to not have to change the entire setup when the day comes that I need one. What do you recommend I should do?

Hey Tim, so to have the capabilities to add a brake controller in the future you'd need to first add a 4-pole with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118392 and then add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7.
This will add a 7-way at the rear and will allow you to tow a vehicle with brakes, and be able to control them with a brake controller.
If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and we'll take care of you.
