Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ram w Hitch Prep for 15 inch Hitch Height  

Question:

This hitch seems to have an extra tall set of legs. Can it be bought with shorter legs to bring it down the norm of 13 1/2 to 17 1/2 size? Mounted in my Ram 4x4 this would be too high other wise.

I have a solution for you as long as a 15 inch hitch height would work for you, but the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3600 would only go as low as 17-1/2 inches.

What you will first need is the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # RP30154. This will install into the pucks of the underbed rail kit on your 2014 Ram and provide you with an industry standard rail that a Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16245 could install into.

The Curt hitch has height adjustability of 13-17 inches, but the # RP30154 adds 2 inches to that.
